Kiss of Death

Are you a Mormon parent or leader ever on the lookout for new ways to scare youth into living the law of chastity?

If so, consider adding this story to your arsenal. It may help to persuade your hormone-drenched youngsters that they should not even kiss.

(Hat tip: Drudge Report.)

I'll be sure to include this in my Sex Ed lessons next month. (6th grade). That'll get them thinking.

Actually, 2 years ago I had to teach high school sex education and I came across an article about a case of HIV from kissing. I think it's only been confirmed once, but it had to do with a monogamous relationship, vigorous toothbrushing, and bleeding gums.

Impressive. I expected the kiss and the death to each be metaphoric.

Yeah, it's kind of fun to be able to take a metaphorical cliche and use it literally.

The putative origin  of the expression is literal, referring to Judas' kiss.
